Associate – Urban Development and Accessibility
Sudeept is an Associate – Urban Development and Accessibility at EMBARQ India. He coordinates technical support for accessibility planning and development and also for non-motorized transport networks and strategies. He is based in Bangalore where his primary focus is working with the Directorate of Urban Land Transport to help develop accessibility and non-motorized transport strategies for the Hubli-Dharwad BRTS corridor.
He is working to develop accessibility strategies and design solutions around mass transport stations in Mumbai and in the Hubli-Dharwad region, Karnataka. He is also involved in developing accessibility networks for private township developments in Bangalore, Mumbai and Ahmedabad and conducting capacity building workshops on campus accessibility.
Prior to EMBARQ, Sudeept has been involved with several consultancy projects in the field of architecture and urban design projects mainly in Mumbai, prior to his masters’ degree. He has been working on the concerns of accessibility as his thesis research and design focus.
Sudeept has been formally trained as an architect and an urban designer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Rizvi College of Architecture, Mumbai University; and a Master’s degree in Architecture from Centre of Environmental Planning and Technology, Ahmedabad, India.
