Founded in 2008, the Center for Sustainable Transport and Health for the Andean Region (CTSS Andino) works to advance sustainable transport projects from a public health angle. CTSS Andino’s main project is with Arequipa, the second largest city in Peru, to implement a Bus Rapid Transit system and revitalize the city’s historic downtown. It is also involved with smaller projects in Quito, Ecuador and other Andean cities.
