The Centro de Transporte Sustentable México conducted a workshop last month about the future of transport and planning in Cancún, located in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula.
The three-day session, held from Nov. 10-12, was hosted by the Instituto de Planeación de Desarrollo Urbano in Cancún, a state government agency that works on urban development and planning.
Local city officials and transport experts discussed issues like traffic safety, urban planning and transportation. It was led by CTS-México Director Adriana Lobo and Deputy Director Salvador Herrera.
The discussions signified an important beginning towards developing a sustainable transport project for the city.
