WHO Launches Global Campaign for Urban Health
The World Health Organization wants you to "be part of a global movement to make cities healthier."
The campaign, 1000 Cities 1000 Lives, was launched with the goal to get 1,000 cities around the world to commit to closing off portions of their streets to traffic during the week of April 7-11 for healthy activities, like biking and walking.
The campaign will also be collecting stories of "urban health champions" who are taking action to improve public health in their cities.
