Can We Have a Low-Carbon Global Transport System in 2050?
Event Date: Jan 23 2011 1:30PM- 4:30PM
Event Location: Hilton
Event Description: This workshop examines the results of a year-long global exercise organized by the Japan Institute for Transportation Policy Studies to develop scenarios of reduced carbon dioxide emissions from all transportation by 2050. Very preliminary results were presented at TRB’s 2010 annual meeting. Teams from China, India, the Americas, Europe, and other countries in Asia developed two scenarios of transport activity, fuel demand, and emissions that were designed to contrast with baseline projections.
