The Context

The Mediterranean port city of Antalya is located in southwestern Turkey on the Gulf of Antalya in the province of the same name. Founded around 150 BC, the ancient city is Turkey’s fourth largest and has experienced large growth in the tourism sector since the 1970s, attracting 30% of foreign tourists visiting Turkey today.
